The Sydney Conservatorium Jazz Orchestra (SCJO) showcases the outstanding talent emerging from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s Jazz Studies program—the oldest and one of the most prestigious tertiary jazz course in Australia. Renowned for producing generations of exceptional performers, composers, arrangers, and educators, the program continues to shape the future of Australian jazz on the national and international stage. The Conservatorium’s Big Band program comprises four Big Bands, all of whom will be performing at Lazybones on October 14, making it the largest university jazz orchestral program in the Southern Hemisphere and among the largest in the world.
