event details

‘Your New Friends’ returns to Shotkickers following a hugely successful debut in July. Volume II takes place on Wednesday 26th August at Shotkickers on High Street. Designed as a night to showcase Melbourne’s most exciting rising acts, ‘Your New Friends’ invites you to discover your next favourite artist and connect with others over a shared love of live music. The concept is simple: three acts, one night, bring a friend, and meet someone new. ‘ 'Your New Friends’ is the Northside’s answer to a yearning for real connection and shared experiences. Thanks for listening. INDIGO HUE Stumbling through the depths of jazz, sunsets of folk, and rolling out kicking and screaming into powerful indie rock. Indigo Hue captures every shade life casts out through their lens of chorus-driven guitars and a vocal range that draws you into the vastness of her landscape. Inspired by artists like Julia Jacklin, Courtney Barnett and Paul Dempsey, they found their feet amongst the Meanjin-Brisbane scene over the last 5 years, and have returned to Melbourne for 2026. INDYANA Creating ethereal, cinematic pop with musical poise and prowess, Indyana was forged through her classical viola training and boundless appreciation for film scores. With this background combined with ethereal vocal melodies and a childlike fascination with existence, Indyana bridges the gap between atmospheric escapism and gripping dream-pop, whisking audiences away to what has been described as a ‘cosmic woodland’. FFO Aurora, FKA twigs & Dune Moss. DELVY The reflection of Naarm/Melbourne based musician Lauren Eddy. Delvy was inspired by the music Eddy would listen to as a teenager, combined with the lofi-folk artists she finds herself sitting with now. Sprinkle some shoegaze over the top from her days playing with Melbourne dream-gaze outfit Blue Vedder, and Delvy is a musical soul bared free. A warm hug for fans of Ora Cogan, Lizzy McAlpine and Mazzy Star. Tickets $15 + BF Doors 7:30pm
