His dazzling technique, lyrical improvisation, and deep respect for tradition have made him a favourite among players and audiences worldwide. Beyond Gypsy jazz, Jorgenson’s remarkable versatility has defined a career spanning country, rock, bluegrass, classical, and pop music. As a founding member of the Desert Rose Band, he earned three consecutive Academy of Country Music Guitarist of the Year awards, and as a member of The Hellecasters helped redefine the possibilities of instrumental guitar music. He toured and recorded with Elton John from 1994 to 2000 and has collaborated with artists including Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Sting, Earl Scruggs and Barbra Streisand.
