event details

Kick those Monday blues to the curb at Social Sanctuary – your weekly night of free live music at NSC. We've lined up a stellar roster of your fave local artists and some exciting new talents breezing through town! This week Madi Leeds, Sydney Miller and Sophie Edwards are stopping by for a show. Naarm-based indie artist Madi Leeds is blending dreamy indie pop with raw, introspective lyricism. Known for her emotive vocals and atmospheric sound, she has earned airplay on Triple J and Triple J Unearthed, building a growing audience drawn to her vulnerable storytelling. Her latest single, Nightmare, explores existential reflection wrapped in hazy guitars and understated indie production - marking a confident step forward in her evolving sound and new era of music. If it weren’t for objects like vacuums, microwaves, cameras, books, and furniture, Sydney Miller would simply not exist. Her incorporation of everyday objects in her production has given her a unique edge in the context of electronic pop, with many coining phrases like “quirky pop” (Bridget Hustwaite, Triple J) to categorise her effervescent and impressively meticulous sound. This paired with her mighty voice and aptitude for writing great pop promises Sydney Miller an exciting future in music making. The past few years for Sophie Edwards have been a whirlwind of music and creativity. After being the first Australian to study a Masters of Songwriting and Production at the Berklee College of Music in New York City, Sophie returned back to Australia to begin an unstoppable trajectory in her home country. Her first release post-homecoming “4kInMyBrain” received airplay on Triple J and across the independent radio network, and her follow up single “4 Walls and A Telephone” secured her a performance at Spilt Milk as the Triple J Unearthed winner. She has also performed at BIGSOUND, Stonefest, and Groovin The Moo. Sophie represented Australia as a songwriter and producer at the Martin Garrix Academy, travelling to Amsterdam thanks to sponsorship by JBL Audio. She was chosen to be a producer at APRA AMCOS SongHubs Looped, and in 2025, was invited to perform again at Spilt Milk as a local artist. Sophie loves wor
