Who is the Southside Music Club ? This is Brisbane's supreme community band: locals of all ages with a shared love of the big band style. With a cracking rhythm section, vocals, soloists galore and a full horn lineup, SMC has the biggest sound on the south side. Their September Showcase concert will deliver something for everyone: whether you are a lover of classic vocal standards, straight-ahead Basie swing, contemporary jazz fusion or infectious Latin vibes, you’ll be grooving along with the band as they bring you a handcrafted selection of their favourite big band charts.
