“instrumental exotica drifting between bhairavi banjo, steel guitar, upright bass and pregyptian percussion”
event details
KEBASGA, offline exotica trio, answers the question that no one heard, and yet the head turns, to glimpse this rare bird, a bird of instrumental iniquity. The watery ebb and flow of bhairavi banjo and somadelic steel guitar lazily lei upon the warm sands of Babylonian bass and pregyptian percussion. From Cairo to Keysborough, from Hobart to Hindustan, and then from Preston to Peru, the trio travels to and fro across the undulating oceans of unknown musical conundrums and combinations with careful abandon. Time to go, ebb and flow, to and fro — whether your konception is kairos or kaalam, the time is right for KEBASGA. Oscar Poncell — guitar and percussion Kier Stevens — banjo and pedal steel Ivan Tagg — upright bass 5pm every Sunday in August 2026 at Wesley Anne, Northcote.
