Hook Turn is a groovy organ trio playing funky originals that hit you in the head, the heart, the feet — and a few places in between. Think spinning Leslie cabinets, warbly tape delays, springy reverbs, and a pocket so deep you'll need a map to get out. Named after Melbourne's infamous intersection manoeuvre — where you swing left to turn right — Hook Turn takes the indirect route to the pocket, and that's exactly where they live. Featuring Adrian Whitehead on Hammond, Tim Nikolsky on guitar, and on the drum kit – Daniel Berry. Hook Turn’s influences come from the likes of Medeski Martin & Wood, Grant Green & Soulive.
