Tender pres. Deep Listening: Hinano Fujisaki + Shio

~ Hinano Fujisaki + Shio ~~ Hinano Fujisaki Eora/Sydney-based composer, improviser and saxophonist Hinano Fujisaki visits the Tender listening room in trio form with accompaniment by local friends in Naarm. From the intimacy of her earlier recordings, to the broader textural palette of her more recent collaborations with local musicians such as Simon Barker, Hinano’s music exudes a warmth and delicacy which pair perfectly with the Tender floor. We were first spellbound by her sophomore EP there is a rabbit on the moon — written, improvised, performed and sung entirely by Hinano. The first track is a 20-minute degustation of acoustic, dreamy, melancholy folk - deep with feeling. Shio Interstitial DJ sets from Naarms reigning jazz queen Shio Otani.
