Tender pres. Huerco S. + special guest

Proudly presenting a rare show with Kansas-born music maker, DJ, and West Mineral Ltd. label head Huerco S. Also known under various monikers (most notably Loidis and Pendant), Brian’s work under Huerco S. remains the most elusive to define. While Loidis locks into a minimal, dub-techno pulse (self-coined as “minimal emo tech”), Huerco S. drifts far more freely; his 2016 LP For Those of You Who Have Never offered calming ambient loops and introspective textures, yet sounds worlds apart from later work like Plonk, which leans heavier, darker, and more rhythmically curious. His deep affinity for rap amusic adds another unpredictable layer to his sets. We have almost no idea what to expect from this 3 hour DJ set at Tender, and we love that. As Brian himself once put it: “Huerco S. is going to be whatever I’m into at the moment, and people will just have to come along for the ride.” A very special guest will be checking in from interstate for a rare warmup duty.
