Rising: Crip Rave Theory

CRIP RAVE THEORY is a party and a proposition: a club night outside the club that draws on disabled/crip knowledge to create more intersectionally-accessible party spaces. A chance for partygoers to show up as their fullest selves, with a focus on community solidarity, self-expression, pleasure and expanding club culture. Open to all and founded by DJ Aquenta (Riana Head-Toussaint) in 2022, it centres and celebrates all those who’ve traditionally been marginalised and de-prioritised in commercial nightlife spaces.
