who are they, then

YĪN YĪN is an eclectic, psychedelic funk band from Maastricht, The Netherlands. Although the official spelling of the name is YĪN YĪN, they are listed as Yin Yin on streaming platforms, which explains why this is the most commonly used spelling here on Last.fm. Yin Yin uses influences from East Asian sixties and seventies music. The result is a colorful blend of psychedelic funk and disco. They started releasing singles in 2018, initially on the prestigious Bongo Joe label in Switzerland. Their debut full-length, The Rabbit That Hunts Tigers was released in 2019. It was followed by three more studio albums: The Age of Aquarius (2022), Mount Matsu (2024) and Yatta! (2026). Personnel, as of 2026: Kees Berkers (drums), Jerôme Scheren (keyboards), Remy Scheren (bass) and Erik Bandt (guitar).
