XG is a Japanese group based in South Korea, formed by XGALX, a subsidiary of Avex. The group consists of seven members: JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA and COCONA. They debuted on 18 March 2022 with the digital single Tippy Toes. The group's name stands for "Xtraordinary Genes" and reflects its mission to inspire people around the world through music, performance and self-expression. Known for performing primarily in English, XG combines elements of hip-hop, R&B, pop and dance music while operating outside the traditional boundaries of both the Japanese and Korean music industries.
