Dave Beck

I'm an Iowan born and raised currently living in Brooklyn, NY. During my college years I took a year off to go to guitar school in hollywood. I lived with a Norweigan named Jardar. Musician's institute was more like the school of rock meets high school than a college... but it was quite amazing none the less. What they failed to mention in the brochure though,was that doing something for 10 hours a day, might not be that healthy. Enter a stress injury piled on an old shoulder injury from high school, and you've got a guitar school drop out. I moved back to Iowa city, did shoulder rehab, went to the university of Iowa. worked at an Irish pub,started writing songs again, created my own major and peaced out of the midwest. My first song was for a class project in high school about parenting called growth and development.
